Annual Festival

പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിന മഹോത്സവം

Makaram · January – February

Prathishta Dina Mahotsavam

The temple's annual festival is held in the Malayalam month of Makaram (January–February), from the star Aswathy to Rohini. It marks the anniversary of Devi's installation.

During the festival, devotees come from all over the country. Special poojas are performed in the sanctum, along with homams, bhajans, and performances of chenda melam and panchavadyam.

The festival usually lasts three days. In some years it is longer, and the grand Sahasra Kalasam (an offering of a thousand sacred kalasams) is performed as part of the celebrations.
